Junior Tennis Community Night

Thank you Papakura Local Board
On behalf of the Papakura Tennis & Squash Club we would like to say a massive thank you to the Papakura Local Board for assisting with our Planning & Investigation Phase of our Facilities Project.
Squash Superchamps
This year Papakura was able to have 7 teams competing at the Auckland District Superchamps competition. The teams consisted of B, C, D, E Grade Men & C, D, E Grade Ladies. We were lucky enough to come away with three winning teams (C Grade Men & Women & D Grade Women). These three teams will be competing in the National tournament for their grades in September. Our C Grade Men & Women will be heading to Timaru to compete & the D Grade ladies will be going to Hastings.
Love Tennis Day
10 September 2023On the 10th of September Papakura Tennis & Squash Club will be participating in the nationwide Love Tennis Day. This is a free event that welcomes all community members to come down to the club & give tennis a go. There will be a range of activities to participate in, as well as some demonstration games, spot prizes, a BBQ & more. If you are interested in giving tennis a go, come on down on the 10th of September & bring the family too. All ages are welcome.
Squash Ladder
At the end of March we started up the ladder competition for all social & full squash members. This event quickly took off & we now have over 85 players listed on the ladder. Each week we average roughly 40-46 players playing on a Thursday from 6pm - 8.30pm. This is a great social, yet competitive competition that brings our club members together on a weekly basis. We welcome any members to come & join in on his event. They just need to be able to serve & have a small rally to be able to play in this competition.
Family Feud
On the 12th of August we held a Family Feud Night to fundraise money to go towards the repairs of the Tennis Courts. Bob Daw was kind enough to put his hand up to act as Steve Harvey for the night & yet again he did an amazing job. This event was a great success with 75 people across 12 tables. We also ran a raffle alongside this event & managed to sell 471 tickets. A big thank you to everyone who contributed to this fundraising event, this is a great start to fundraising for the repairs of our courts!!
Christmas Party
18 November 2023The end of the year is quickly approaching so let's get together for one final party to celebrate what an amazing year 2023 was at our club. Theme is Country & Western so dress to impress! Food and decorations will all be to match...think slow cooked meat, cowboys, bay bales Tickets are $10 so get your crew together and we'll see you there!!
